This is exactly what I did for the two seater RAF rocket that came out this year. When they had this deal last November, I picked up two 5$ copies, held on to the codes until April and only paid the game time for my rocket. http://bit.ly/ighyXL

Most of the game's social aspect (arguably the most important part of the game) takes place at the current level cap, whatever that is at the time.

Now, WoW is awesome, but it's not $104 of awesome.**

*these are the current amazon.com prices and may reflect holiday sales; thus explaining why the battlechest is more expensive.

**That said, having bought each expansion as it came out I have paid something closer to $160. But I got into the game when the barrier to entry was a mere $40. I can' imagine dropping $100 on a game all at once not even knowing if I was going to like it.

Playing around with the store it looks like the physical box's are sold out but you can click "buy for self" instead of 'buy as gift' option and put in your battle.net info and get it upgraded immediately instead of retail box

It's like when Valve put Team Fortress 2 down to $2.50. Why Valve, why couldn't we buy multiple copies and keep them on our accounts to gift to people? Why did we have to put in their name right then? I would have bought like 5 copies just to hand out to people I know.
