Playing around with the store it looks like the physical box's are sold out but you can click "buy for self" instead of 'buy as gift' option and put in your battle.net info and get it upgraded immediately instead of retail box http://bit.ly/ggQ6Xt
It's like when Valve put Team Fortress 2 down to $2.50. Why Valve, why couldn't we buy multiple copies and keep them on our accounts to gift to people? Why did we have to put in their name right then? I would have bought like 5 copies just to hand out to people I know.
The WoW boxes look to be on sale and back in stock, so you can do exactly as you wish to do. Looks like they won't ship 'til December, but that won't matter in the situation you describe.
I like how the screenshots on the online store page for Wrath still show aerial vehicle combat in Wintergrasp.
Well maybe they still plan to implement that feature
That being said, however, it was a great recap of all the junk that has gone on there. I'd love to see a normal version of the place, just to see it in its entirety. Quite a beautiful place, if you like Dwarven architecture.
I need to correct some information in this article. Specifically, from the chapter below, referencing the events of the book Night of the Dragon.
The blue dragon involved in this story was actually Kalecgos, who was sent by Malygos, but Malygos himself is only briefly mentioned in this story and not seen directly.
despite the rubble and the debris, the place is beautiful. I loved being in there looking at the place.
but we ventured into the Obsidian and Ruby Sanctums, not dragonshrines. The Dragonshrines of those two flights are on the surface, Ruby filled with a giant tree and lush grass and the Obsidian one is a cave filled with fire and lava.
